The Princess of Nowhere is the first book written by Prince Lorenzo Borghese, best known for his stint on ABC TV’s “The Bachelor.” The romantic tale is about his relative Pauline Bonaparte (Napoleon’s sister) who married Prince Camillo Borghese in the 1800s. She was a wild passionate woman who did what she pleased. It’s a rather scandalous story.
The Princess of Nowhere website sums it up well:
“As seen through the eyes of the young woman who served as Pauline’s lady-in-waiting and surrogate daughter, The Princess of Nowhere is an unforgettable tale of a remarkable life that is a study in the excesses of the time as well as an intimate view of a woman strong enough to defy expectations.”
It was well-researched and as I’m reading I feel transported back in time. It’s very absorbing and I’m almost finished. If work hadn’t gotten in the way, I’d have read the whole thing already. I didn’t want to put it down.
Look for my interview with the Prince in November’s New York Resident magazine.
