Dorri: I saw you tonight on Dr Drew’s TV Program. My heart goes out to you. I have five sisters and four daughters. As a father and brother, I do not know what I would do if someone had raped one of my family members. I am so glad that you let it go and are going forward with your life. Hopefully, these derelicts have repented and turned their lives around. Your story was very touching. You are a very strong lady. Thank you.

Your article made me cry. A family member was recently attacked in much the same way. I know it will be a long road for her but I can only hope she will have the same dignity and internal strength that you have displayed. Thank you for being so honest.

Incredibly written and very poignant. I teach girls about that age – I feel that so much has changed since we were girls (I’m about your age) – but then again, some things stay the same. What we need to do as women, is to speak out, to tell our stories, especially to girls so they are forewarned and so forearmed!

I’ve got my NY Times and just read your article. THANK YOU. The same thing happened to me. I actually got pregnant and spoke about it the first time in a therapist’s office when I was 32.
