Wow! What a wonderful bunch of people. Doctors who donate their time to perform surgeries on kids born with facial defects. And so many donors and sponsors. Wow! I was blown away by the kindness and generosity of these people. The room smelled like money! Even in this lousy economy i guess there are still plenty of folks doing just fine. Thank goodness they are so philanthropic. It is lways uplifting to see good in a room full of people. The kids who’d been recipients of these donated surgeries spoke at the mic and gushed with gratitude. One guy was from Guatemala and he didn’t speak English well but he sure managed to get across how happy this organization had made him by giving him a left ear and a mouthful of dental work. He was beaming. My heart melted.
