Did you see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? I thought it was fantastic. 4 stars out of 4. It was very dark and disturbing and suspenseful. I’m looking forward to seeing The Girl Who Played With Fire. People always ask me why I am so into scary movies. I’m not sure. My closest friend thinks that its because of the shock value. That it’s sort of screaming jolts me into life, like my shocking pink wall in my bedroom at home. She thinks I like things done in a big way — in a way that hits me over the head. That is a good theory. Some other people think i identify with the victims. That is not it. If anything I identify with the scary people. Maybe it’s a way to vicariously vent anger at the world. Anger at politics, family, the oil spill, poverty, crime. That seems most likely the main reason. But there’s also that thrill of being scared. Like some people feel in roller-coasters. I can’t do roller-coasters because they make me barf. Tell me the scariest movies you’ve ever seen.
