Author and animal advocate Jennifer Skiff is a director of Pilots N Paws in the U.S. and a trustee of the Dogs’ Refuge Home in Australia. Her second book, The Divinity of Dogs: True Stories of Miracles Inspired by Man’s Best Friend (Simon & Shuster, October 23, 2012), is now available. Higher up on the ladder to fame, the Jack Russell Terrier landed a much bigger film: Water for Elephants starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson. As is the case for so many actors, Uggie fell deeply in love with his co-star, Reese, who he gushes about chapter after chapter in the book.
This 2012 version of “Pusher” is a remake of the 1996 original that was written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (“Drive”). Refn’s film was a blockbuster and he added two more films to the Danish series, “With Blood on My Hands: Pusher II” and “I’m the Angel of Death: Pusher III.” Actor Zlatko Buric starred as Milo in all three of the original trilogy of films and reprises his role in this 2012 version.
