Rashida Jones stars in romantic comedy drama ‘Celeste and Jesse Forever’

“Celeste and Jess Forever” is loosely based on the real life romance-turned-friendship between Rashida Jones (daughter of Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones) and Will McCormack. The movie begins with the couple’s marriage unraveling. Celeste (Rashida Jones), a hard-working and successful businesswoman, is getting more and more aggravated with Jesse (Andy Samberg), who she’s been with “forever.” Jesse smokes a lot of pot, lazes about with dedication and is clearly going nowhere. Celeste decides she want a divorce.

My Mother Had to Accept the Suicide of Her Brother

Uncle Carl Wendkos

My mother’s oldest brother died of a self-inflicted gunshot to his heart. “He took off and carefully folded the new clothes he had put on just as carefully only a short time before, sat on the edge of his bed, and with his still strong left hand pulled the trigger that sent a single bullet cleanly through his heart. The coroner told us later that he had died even before he fell back upon the bed.” Published in The New York Times in 1977.
