Regal Entertainment runs ‘All Knight Long’ showings of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ for Opening Weekend

It is the most anticipated movie of the year and opens this Friday, July 20, 2012. Due to the high demand for tickets, Regal Entertainment Group is running 72-hours of continuous “All Knight Long” screenings.
Now, get this, Regal theaters are also offering a marathon show of the entire Batman trilogy called, “Regal’s Dark Knight Marathon.” For only $25 Batman fans can watch all three films on Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Regal Entertainment Group has already sold out tickets in more than 100 theaters for “The Dark Knight Rises” but will continue to add shows and add theaters to keep up with the dizzyingly high demand.

The 72-hour continuous showings will be available at these participating New York City theaters:

  • Regal Union Square Stadium 14, 850 Broadway
  • Regal Battery Park Stadium 11, 102 North End Avenue
  • UA Court Street Stadium 12, 108 Court Street, Brooklyn
  • UA Kaufman Astoria Stadium 14, 35-30 38th Street, Astoria
  • Regal Atlas Park Stadium 8, 80-28 Cooper Avenue, Glendale
  • UA Midway Stadium 9, 108-22 Queens Boulevard, Forest Hills
  • UA Sheepshead Bay Stadium 14 & IMAX, 3907 Shore Parkway, Brooklyn
  • UA Staten Island Stadium 16 & RPX, 2474 Forest Avenue, Staten Island
  • UA Hylan Plaza 5, 107 Mill Road, Staten Island

This production cost $250 million to create. Predictions for the box office ticket sales on opening weekend are $186,000,000. “The Dark Knight” in 2008 made $158,411,483. Highest grossing opening nights for films of the past include:

  • “The Hunger Games” $152,535,747 (2012)
  • “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—Part 2” $169,189,427 (2011)
  • “Avatar” $27,000,000 (2009)
